Writer and performer Amy Marcs will perform her critically acclaimed, reconstructive comedy Nice T!ts at the PIT on August 10th.
Just when life was going so well, Amy, “a sexy hot New York Jewess with a great rack” was diagnosed with breast cancer. With an unlikely American icon by her side, Amy navigates the hills and valleys of doctor visits, toy stores, show-tune singing nurses, hellish support groups and her understandably healthy obsession with her breasts. Nice T!ts is a comedic exploration of Marcs' roller-coaster experience with cancer and its effect on her perceptions of femininity, womanhood, confidence and mortality. It's a unique perspective full of humor and heart-felt honesty.
The performance will be followed by an exclusive after show talk-back, featuring a representative from Avon, esteemed breast cancer plastic surgeon Doctor Nolan Karp, and Breast Oncology surgeon Doctor Karen Hiotis (both of NYU Langone Cancer Center).
