It will feature performances by Lily Myers (author of "Shrinking Woman"), Safia Elhillo (member of the NYU Slam Team that won the 2012 & 2013 College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational), Alok Vaid-Menon (activist-extraordinar) Sam Friedman/Mel Hsu/Jess Best (improv-extraordinars), Cherkira Lashley (member of the 2013 & 2014 Wesleyan Slam Team), and E. Oks (aka Evan Okun aka the dude in sweat-pants who freestyles to himself on the NYC Subway).

This series will present oral and written literatures from historically marginalized, minoritized and endangered languages that are still largely unfamiliar to wider audiences.
Including a multimedia introduction to the peoples and languages presented, live readings of poetry and oral literature both traditional and modern by native speakers in these languages, and simultaneous projections of texts and translations.
Presented by the Endangered Language Alliance in conjunction with Bowery Arts and Science.
