Howard, a homeless man who finds an old dirty lamp, he tries to clean it off thinking that he may be able to get some money for it when a Genie appears and grants him 3 wishes, one of the wishes is for him and his girl Vanessa to sit in the front row at a concert featuring his favorite soul singers, problem is the singers he want to see perform are all deceased, so Howard and Vanessa take a trip to "soul heaven".
