Satellite Collective presents cutting edge interdisciplinary works at 92Y, Buttenwieser Hall, Lexington Avenue at 92nd Street, Manhattan, NY, from June 10-12, 2016 at 8pm with a Sunday matinee at 3pm. In their new season, Satellite Collective seeks to secure their place as a leading voice of interdisciplinary art in New York City. Satellite Collective presents a vibrant program of young and emerging artists from the New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Juilliard and the indie music and video scenes. The artists of this interdisciplinary, bright new paradigm have honed their collaborative method with art created specifically for the historical space at 92Y in four fresh works of contemporary ballet, dance, short film and live original music in their dynamic, collaborative style, to premiere as part of 92Y’s Dig Dance: Weekend Series. Satellite Collective’s new season features the premieres of postclassical music by two composers, ballet and modern dance works by two choreographers, a new short film featuring two ballerinas, and a spoken work with two poets.

92Y, February 8, Fridays At Noon: inspired by Mark Franko's Martha Graham in Love and War, this one and a half long hour event explores the historic and reexamined partnership of Martha Graham and Erick Hawkins with live performance of Graham and Hawkins duets by Martha Graham Dance Company, Graham II, Erick Hawkins Dance, Wellspring/Cori Terry and Dancers, UNLV Dancers, archival film clips, a reading from the book, distinguished panel ists Anna Kisselgoff, former chief dance critic of The New York Times, Graham alumnae Christine Dakin and Stuart Hodes, and Hawkins alumnae Gloria McLean and Cori Terry.

JCE Benefit Performance - Fifth Anniversary Celebration  | Open: 06/15/12 Close: 06/15/12
The JCE benefit performance will celebrate five years of presenting original jazz dance to New York audiences. Audiences will be treated to dances in a variety of jazz styles—from musical theater to contemporary—and the chance to see jazz dance as the rich American art form it is, with its glorious variety of styles and cultural influences. The performance will be followed by drawings for door prizes and a reception. Proceeds will go toward the October performances of the New York Jazz Choreography Project at MMAC.Please note that online ticket sales will close four (4) hours before the performance time; thereafter tickets will be available at the door, cash only, for $50.
