Nylon Fusion Theatre Company Born of a fusion of New York and London creativity, Nylon Fusion is a theatre company committed to giving voice and perspective to established and emerging artists. We develop and produce plays that explore political, social, and cultural awareness. Named a "Young and Mighty Theater company" by Backstage.
On the fringes of a remote desert society, a group of teenage dissidents search for fragments of earlier civilizations still ricocheting between stars. Using antiquated 21st century radio telescopes, The Listeners risk everything to connect to a past that has faded both from memory and record. On the eve of a trial that would decide their fate, The Listeners must choose to conform, or to strike out and seize the future they want to inherit.
The cast will feature Matthew Carrasco (Marymount Manhattan College), Alex Chernin (Blood Wedding in Saratoga Springs), Tim Palmer (The Land of Promises at The Sheen Center), Taylor Petracek (The Academy at Theatre for the New City: The Seagull at Access Theater), and Sara Rahman (Scaly with Insommium Theatre Company) with Set Design by Raye Levine (Design Associate on Extinction at Guild Hall) with Associate Set Design and Props by Lili Jackson, Lighting Design by Gilbert Lucky Pearto (Qucksand with Everyday Infemo/IRT), Sound Design by Bryan Hamilton (Guards at the Taj at Times Square Arts Center) with Sound Consultant Andy Evan Cohen (NYIT Award winner for In the Soundless Awe with New Light Theater Project), and Costume Design by Debbi Hobson (NYIT Award winner for Unmentionables with Nylon Fusion), and Fight Choreography by Randall Rodriguez. Five friends vie for status in a competition over cultural capital, broadcasting every moment of their lives on the internet – but at what cost? Through the incisive imagination of virtuoso Quebec auteur Guillaume Corbeil, this American premiere production explores how each of us shapes our sense of self ... can curating the perfect online identity push away the darkness and banality of everyday life?

Collins* (Sicks!at Walkerspace; St. James in the Field of Starsat HERE), Adriane Moreno (Empire Travel Agency with Woodshed Collective; Period Sisters at HERE), Charlie Reid(Nancy Drew Has Retiredat EST; Geminiat Theatre Row), and Christina Toth (Orange is the New Black on Netflix; Lazarusat NYTW) with Costume Design by Nicolle Allen (Spielberg’s West Side Story), Scenic Design by Seth Byrum(Richard IIIwith Bridge Production Group), and Lighting & Video Design by Cheyenne Sykes (Agneswith Lesser America/59E59).
About the Company: Bridge Production Group
The Bridge Production Group is a nonprofit theatre company committed to dismantling and rebuilding an audience’s expectations of theatrical storytelling. In producing both new and revived works, we seek to disrupt traditional conventions and assumptions about how stories are told in the theatrical medium by restructuring and reimagining classic text, utilizing and highlighting design as a core narrative component, and blurring genre and tone. Injecting the familiar with spontaneity and vitality, our mission is to create theatre that is immediate and resonant with young and diverse audiences; we invite less traditional theatergoing audiences into our shared spaces, aiming to awaken an enhanced appreciation for the medium.
It’s business as usual at the Washington D.C. Science Museum where the employees’ personal lives keep getting in the way. Jo wants a child but is unable to secure an inseminator. Chet longs to make love, but dating kinda sucks and gaming is way more awesome. Claire searches for purpose by digging directly toward the center of the earth. Vadim prioritizes the needs of others but wouldn’t know his own if they crawled into bed with him. Eloise lives in a treehouse and brushes her teeth with space particles. When chaos ravages a perfectly average day, these co-workers are flung into a cosmic galactic shift, rearranging their internal cartography. In these desperate times, Cannibal Galaxy: a love story is a new play about how we keep breathing as America eats itself alive.
The cast will feature Jason C. Brown* (Much Ado About Nothing with Classics in Color; The Misanthrope with NYTW), Robin Galloway* (The Master Builder with Wallace Shawn; Sense & Sensibility with Cape Fear), Olivia Oguma* (Luce with LCT3; Emotional Creature with Signature), Dominic F. The Production Stage Manager will be Jonathan Castanien*.
Cannibal Galaxy: a love story was an EST Sloan finalist and received a workshop production at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. This production will be the play’s World Premiere.
About the Company: Between Two Boroughs
Between Two Boroughs was co-founded by Jenn Haltman and Becca Schneider in 2014. Previous productions include Theresa Rebeck's The Understudy at The Secret Theatre and Charles Mee's Summertime at Gowanus Loft. We choose projects that scare us. Through empathy, humor, and bold simplicity, we share stories that embrace the impossibilities of life, love, and art. We foster a community of artists who choose to take risks and, through the work, incite conversation about our world. We want you to be a part of that conversation. www.BetweenTwoBoroughs.com
“I love this story, but it's usually made too easy,” explains playwright Matt Opatrny. “It's very political and timely, and it highlights the individual responsibility and power to affect change. It's the story of a person grappling with who they are, how they got there and how to forge a new path. It's the story of genuinely seeing the people around you, seeing yourself, and choosing to make things better,” he further explains.
Under Jessica Burr’s direction, A CHRISTMAS CAROL becomes a raw, physical, and darkly comic story, while still remaining a family-friendly holiday show. Six performers play thirty-seven characters who speak fluent Dickens, wear quirky costumes... and dance to Lady Gaga.
The Assembly (Stephen Aubrey, Edward Bauer, Ben Beckley, Nick Benacerraf, Jess Chayes, Emily Louise Perkins, and Alyssa Simmons) will present the World Premiere of That Poor Dream, a new play written and devised collectively by the company and the cast (Stephen Aubrey, Edward Bauer, Ben Beckley, Nick Benacerraf, Ray Campbell, Jess Chayes, Jocelyn Kuritsky, Moti Margolin, Emily Louise Perkins, and Terrell Wheeler), October 4-26 at The New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington). The production will be directed by Jess Chayes (Krista Knight’s Primal Play with New Georges; HOME/SICK with The Assembly) and will feature Edward Bauer (HOME/SICK with The Assembly), Ben Beckley* (national tour of Peter and the Starcatcher), Theodore Ray Campbell (Bus Stop with Denver Center Theater Company), Jocelyn Kuritsky (Sheila Callaghan’s Crawl, Fade to White with 13P; Ken Urban’s The Awake at 59E59), Moti Margolin*(Grand Theft Auto IV), Emily Louise Perkins*(Caroline V. About the Company: The Assembly
The Assembly is a collective of multi-disciplinary performance artists committed to realizing a visceral and intelligent theater for a new generation. Assembly members unite varied interests in service of unabashedly theatrical and rigorously researched ensemble-driven performances that address and reflect the complexities of our changing world. Developing text, movement and environment side-by-side within the rehearsal room, the company embraces collaboration as the core of the creative process. Above all, we are dedicated to rooting our artists, audiences, and colleagues in a profound sense of community.
Holding firm to the belief that history repeats itself, The Assembly frequently looks to the past to make sense of the present moment. The Assembly’s first project, We Can’t Reach You, Hartford, was created in the aftermath of September 11th and explored one of America’s forgotten tragedies: the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey circus fire of 1944 in Hartford, CT. We Can’t Reach You, Hartford premiered at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it was nominated for the coveted Fringe First award. Later projects have explored Civil War photography (Daguerreotype; Abingdon Theater, 2007), Charles Lindbergh (What I Took in My Hand; The Ontological-Hysteric Theater, 2008), the Gold Rush of 1849 and the dot-com boom of the 1990s (Clementine and the Cyber Ducks; The Ontological-Hysteric Theater, 2009), climate change (The Dark Heart of Meteorology; The Philly Fringe Festival, UNDER St. Marks, 2009) and the Weather Underground (HOME/SICK; The Collapsable Hole, 2011; The Living Theater, 2012.) Our current production, That Poor Dream, had workshop performances at the 2013 Ice Factory Festival at The New Ohio, the 2013 Prelude Festival at CUNY, and at HERE Arts Center in Spring 2014.
Emma’s boyfriend left her. Her younger brother flew in to make sure she eats. She has papers to grade, a thesis to write and the rest of her life to figure out. Oh yeah, she’s also been drinking and talking with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer…there’s also that.
feeling. began as a piece in Glass Bandit’s Living Room Readings Series. “Though we were confident in Paul's gifts as a writer, and the breadth of his creative spirit in general, nothing could prepare us for what we were about to hear. Sadly, it is all too rare to come across something so spare, original, funny, and touching all anchored by such a unique and powerful female lead.” said Glass Bandit’s Producing Director Carl Holder. Glass Bandit’s went on to stage the production at their alma mater SUNY Purchase, in order to explore the show in a performance setting without full production costs. Paul then applied and was accepted to The Great Plain Theater Conference, where he worked on further developing the play, and was featured in American Theater Magazine. The upcoming production at The New Ohio will be the play’s World Premiere.
About the Company: Glass Bandits Theater Company
GLASS BANDITS THEATER COMPANY is a gang of lovable misfits interested in making thrilling, accessible, unmannered theatrical events that bridge the gap between audience and performers. Our goal? To reach a wide array of patrons with work created to inspire in them a habit of going to the theater. Can’t seeing a play be as exciting as watching a band play at the neighborhood dive? Everyone’s a Bandit and every play’s for you! See a show, get some free glasses and let’s definitely grab a drink after.
Watch, if you dareth, as love and hunger collide most fantastically with the elusive American dream. In hearty games of Dungeons & Dragons, young Bart and Holly escape the dreary reality of hauling money all day in armored transport vehicles. When jobs are lost and the boss starts looking at Holly funny, escape becomes reality, releasing Goldor & Mythyka upon the world! Thusly, lucre shall be heisted! Throngs shall cheer their criminal exploits! And Have Nots will rule the day. Until… reality regenerates with a vengeance.
Goldor $ Mythykais based on a truly true story! In 2008, playwright Lynn Rosen read an article she couldn’t get out of her head… A nice young couple enamored of fantasy role-playing games, Roger Dillon and Nicole Boyd, steal $7.4 million from an armored car company in Youngstown, Ohio. By the time they're captured just 350 miles away (in Pipestem, West Virginia), the public has dubbed them the “Goth Bonnie and Clyde.”
Goldor $ Mythyka was originally commissioned in 2010 as part of The Germ Project. As a response to the growing trend towards small-cast, one-set plays, New Georges commissioned four playwrights to write BIG plays, plays of “scope and adventure” that are “unproduce-able” and that “encompass elements which extend and expand the conventional playwriting repertoire.” For a long time, playwright Lynn Rosen had been sitting on the idea for G$M, based on a real-life story. She hadn’t started it because her vision was for a play so BIG she didn’t think it could ever be produced! When she got the “germ” assignment, she ran with the idea, adding layer upon layer of theatrical elements in delightful and imaginative ways: levitating actors, explosions, jump-cut style, audience participation, and sound and video cues which operate in continuous dialogue with the actors’ work onstage. The play is notable for its technical complexity, but the theatrical tools aren’t just there to add novelty, they’re deeply embedded in the text and vital to the storytelling where they take on a life of their own. Repeated sound cues become a kind of code to aspects of Goldor & Mythyka’s world, and video elements juxtapose with live action so that an action and its consequences inhabit a parallel moment for the audience, or lend insight into the characters’ real desires.
About the Company: New Georges

Comedy"
Theater.Comedy
Appetite and hubris have divided the world in three.
Our hero, the diminutive and unassuming P.S. Jones is doing what he does best, shoveling poop and daydreamin'. P.S. dreams of visiting The Frozen City, a utopian world just visible beyond forbidden Burning Waste. Only thing worse than knowin' he'll never set foot in The Frozen City is finding out that his tall, handsome, charming, (incurably vapid) brother Benjamin is about to take a real life zeppelin to the The Frozen City where he'll be deified on account of being so pretty.
After a tearful and tight-lipped goodbye, P.S. hunkers down and gets back to work. He doesn't know that his shovel is about to unearth something that will change his life forever, or that he's about to go on a long and difficult journey, that it's gonna hurt, that lessons will be learned and that he's gonna one day set foot inside the thick glass of The Frozen City. Perhaps it's best to know a bit more about what you're wishin' for.
What will P.S. do when the fate of all three worlds rests in his hand?

A tub, a scarf, a stool and a naked woman. Structured as a live fine art modeling session, Human Fruit Bowl (WINNER Creative Award for Best Production at Prague Fringe Festival, 2011), investigates the relationship between artist and model. Part story, part mystery, part lecture-demonstration, this fast-paced monologue delivered in stillness asks: What are the stories we tell about artists and their muses? What are the truths, if any, to be found?
