JKDC continues to evolve and captivate audiences by commingling ballet, jazz, modern, and acting. Described as 'Dramatic Contemporary', JKDC's repertory tells stories - some metaphoric, some literal. Artistic Director, Joyce King, draws upon each artist's qualities, reflecting upon personal experiences, world concerns, and the interdependence of human nature. This is instinctively manifested into JKDC's style, phrasing, and the heart we call JKing Dance Company.
Come join us on May 3rd when JKDC presents two critically acclaimed, audience favorites, plus our newest works. At both performances a Q and A for our audiences will be offered for those who desire to find out more about the what, who, and why of JKing Dance Company.

Pentacle's Gallery artists are an eclectic group of vibrant and talented dance makers, some of whom may be unfamiliar to you. The Gallery encompasses a diverse range of engaging dance artists - there is much to be discovered.
Here is what the press has to say about these artists:
"Barkin/Selissen steal this show with a male/female duet of impeccable clarity" Quinn Batson, OFFOFFOFF
"Clancy's choreography builds emotional and intellectual content with abstract, yet probing psychological use of bodies in contact with each other. Her use of minimal but dramatic props is exceptional." Jennifer Noyer, Albuquerque Journal
"Gaynor skillfully plays with structure.. her pieces are intriguing and vibrant." Eye on the Arts
"Lorraine Chapman's LCTC's work combines dynamic, sharp-edged movement and compelling theatricality. ...satisfying on a visceral level and a cerebral level as well" Karen Campbell, Boston Herald
" PrashantShah's performance displayed wonderful contrasts, with moments of sharp clarity he seemed caught up in a whirlwind, looking down upon the audience from a cloud." Robert Johnson, The Star Ledger of Newark
"... Ms. Ramnarayan moves between characterful storytelling and nonrepresentational dance. She does this with remarkable fluency" The New York Times
About last year's performance, Darrell Wood, writing in 'NYC Dance Stuff' commented: "There were some real treats shown at Fall Further ... the showcase portrayed a wide array of talents, and offered an exciting evening of dance."
If you missed last year, you don't want to miss this year. And if you attended last year, you don't want to miss this year.
