Little Doc  | Open: 06/11/10 Close: 07/18/10
Dan Klores, whose searing and deeply felt documentaries have become modern classics, once again weaves a New York tale in this very personal new work, infused with equal parts humor and heartbreak.  Set in 1970’s Brooklyn, in the living room of a one-bedroom apartment under the “el” and above a tiny neighborhood bar, Little Doc centers on four childhood friends who find themselves in a life-threatening situation that challenges the validity of the virtues they've adopted from a sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll culture.

The cast of seven features Adam Driver, Salvatore Inzerillo, Steven Marcus, Tobias Segal, Billy Tangradi, Dave Tawil, and Joanne Tucker.

Opening the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's 16th Season, performances of the world premiere of Little Doc will begin Friday, June 11 at Rattlestick Theatre.  The official opening night is set for Thursday, June 17.

That Pretty, Pretty or The Rape Play  | Open: 02/10/09 Close: 03/15/09
A violently funny and disturbing excavation of the dirty corners of our imaginations. A pair of radical feminist ex-strippers scour the country on a murderous rampage against right-wing pro-lifers, blogging about their exploits in gruesome detail. Meanwhile, a scruffy screenwriter named Owen tries to bang out his magnum opus in a hotel room as his best friend Rodney ("The Rod") pontificates on rape and other manly enterprises. When Owen decides to incorporate the strippers into his screenplay, the boundaries of reality begin to blur, and only a visit from Jane Fonda can help keep worlds from blowing apart.

The cast of That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape Play includes: Joseph Gomez (NY stage debut), Lisa Joyce (Red Light Winter, Blackbird, U.S. Drag), Greg Keller (Steve & Idi, The Seagull - BAM), Annie McNamara (God's Ear) and Danielle Slavick (NYC stage debut).

In Geometry of Fire, Belber's newest work, we find an investment banker-turned-Marine-sniper recently returned from Iraq and a Saudi-American who just wants to get laid. In any other world, these two guys would be best friends. But when their lives collide in this one, each is forced to survive on the fly. Based on a true story. Geometry of Fire had a developmental production at New York Stage & Film in July 2007.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (David Van Asselt, Artistic Director and Sandra Coudert, Managing Director) continues its 14th anniversary season with the World Premiere of Geometry of Fire, a new drama by Stephen Belber, directed by Lucie Tiberghien (The Pavilion). Badge  | Open: 06/15/07 Close: 07/01/07
BADGE -- a 2006 semi-finalist for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Conference -- is a new dark comedy by Matthew Schneck. Boy Scouts is the only refuge that keeps 28 year-old Roy (played by Greg McFadden, seen last season on Broadway in THE CAINE MUTINY COURT-MARTIAL opposite David Schwimmer) and his life together. It keeps it sane, and most importantly, keeps it the same. That is, until his Scout Master's uninhibited sister walks into his life, making him do very "unScoutlike" things. In this wild ride, things may finally change for Roy...maybe it's not a great time to go off the meds.
