Penny-4-Eyes Rock N' Roll Show  | Open: 10/01/05 Close: 10/31/05
New York: "Penny-4-Eyes is a fun, self-affirming rock concert. With a dynamite cast, it is like Hedwig and the Angry Inch for teenage girls". (Arts Off Off Broadway Review) "There''s little that I appreciate more than the rare occasion of walking into a room and having the cynical side of myself take a sound drubbing at the hands of the side of me that likes puppy dogs and daisies. Penny-4-Eyes Rock N' Roll Show supplies just such an occasion. Sound silly? I challenge you to go see Penny. If you walk out of this show feeling anything but fantastic, then we can talk". (NY Theater.Com Review) Giannetta wows with a Gibraltar-size rock voice! (Talkin'' Broadway) "Midtown International Theater Festival presents a colorful musical about Penny-4-Eyes, a fictional 14-year-old teeny-bopper who uses rock n'' roll as an outlet to escape her troubles at home. Though the subject matter gets heavy (alcoholism, drugs, and suicide), writer-director Jesse Cooper skirts the issues with cute songs and an upbeat, playful tone more reminiscent of an Avril Lavigne concert than a serious drama. The highlight here is Broadway vet Lucia Giannetta, who plays a captivating, self-involved mother. . . (Village Voice Review)

PENNY is back again! Bigger ,brighter and better than ever with more show, more songs and more Penny! After sold out benefit performances at The Tank, and a sold out run at Smash Studios in the Midtown International Theatre Festival, Penny-4-Eyes Rock N' Roll Show will be playing the Gibson Guitar Show Room in NYC (421 West 54th Street) October 1st through October 31st at 8:00pm.

Loosely based on a true story, Penny-4-Eyes is about an ambitious 14-year-old girl desperate to break out of the dysfunctional cycles of her abusive parents and determined to leave the past behind her and let it all go. Done in the style of a rock musical the production has a full original score.
