The A**hole In My Head  | Open: 10/25/09 Close: 11/15/09
Like thousands of other hopefuls, Kate Dawson, arrived in New York City from Champaign, IL with dreams of “making it big.” Things started out pretty swell. She landed an agent and a slew of high profile shows. But the work wasn’t consistent, and she was slowly dying a little inside. She quit her agency, put away her headshots and sang along to EVITA only in the shower. The voice in her head just seemed to say, “I suck!” But, it didn’t stop there. It challenged her to look fear straight in the eye and say “And I am Telling You I’m Not Going!“ And thus began the battle, Kate versus the A**hole… Will she win? Will she succumb to the voice? Will you buy your tickets please?

Flagboy  | Open: 02/08/09 Close: 02/08/09

FLAGBOY
is a funny and dark coming-of-age autobiographical story about Jones, a fiery and curious young African-American boy, who explores what it means to be gay as he maneuvers through the urban worlds of Richmond, VA, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA. His life changes when he discovers he is HIV positive -- a diagnosis he thinks will end all his hopes and dreams. Raw, comic, heartbreaking, and breathlessly empowering, FLAGBOY is a true testimony of what it means to live life out loud.

Playwright/performer Cornelius Jones Jr., currently from Broadway's THE LION KING, joins forces once again with director Joshua Ian with the ongoing development of FLAGBOY. The play successfully debuted last spring at Stage Left Studio as part of the Left Out Festival and then went on to a successful summer run at The Ninth Annual Midtown International Theater Festival, which Jones earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Solo-Show. One Man's War  | Open: 11/02/05 Close: 11/20/05
One Man's War follows the story of a New York City gang member Doug Hulbert, who, in the 1960's, was given a choice between going to jail and going to the Marine Corps. He chooses the Corps and his life is changed forever. The play follows Doug from Boot Camp through his tour of duty in Vietnam. Through Doug's experiences we are given a firsthand account of how the militaryprepares a young man mentally and physically to handle the brutalities of war. The audience is privy to the innermost thoughts, feelings and actions of young men who are sent into war by their leaders and who return home to the scorn and abandonment of their fellow Americans
"BUSH IS BAD: the musical cure for the blue-states blues," a new musical revue aims venomous, highly partisan musical barbs at the President and his dissembling gang of conspirators, resulting in a take-no-prisoners show.

"BUSH IS BAD" provides a cathartic and entertaining release for everyone frustrated with the Bush administration's hijinx and plagued by the feeling that sane voices are falling on deaf ears. A cross between "Forbidden Broadway" and "The Daily Show" the musical offers catchy tunes, wickedly funny lyrics and hilarious impersonations. The evening doesn't so much preach to the choir as give it a song to sing.

"BUSH IS BAD" is a left-eyed look at the current sorry state of affairs in American government. It's the truth told bluntly but not savagely, with wit and without malice. The political theatrical experience includes such songs as ‘How Can 59 Million People Be So Dumb?;' ‘Good Conservative Values;' ‘New Hope For The Fabulously Wealthy' to name a few. It has been suggested that - if you can find an open-minded Republican, bring 'em - they might learn a few things about how the rest of America sees them.
