Sydney, a young Black woman and aspiring politician, is given a contentious job offer - a position on the campaign team of a Republican senator. Torn between advancing in her career and fearing that shell serve as the token Black employee on a problematic campaign, Sydney asks for one week to make a decision. During days of debating whether to accept or reject the position, Sydney experiences reoccurring dreams of three housewives stuck in a 1950s purgatory kitchen. As the housewives attempt to coerce into joining their world in the kitchen, Sydneys subconscious and reality begin to blur.
