Eight former high school friends, now in their mid-twenties, reunite for an impromptu night of mourning and celebration after the suicide of a mutual friend. Finding themselves divided by geography, sexual orientation, religious belief, and ultimately their own prejudices, it’s hard to remember what bonded them together in the first place. When shocking details surrounding their friend’s death bubble to the surface, they may never find their way back to each other without losing themselves in the process.
Stable Cable’s World Premiere of Lindsay Joy’s In the Event of My Death was developed through The Farm Theater’s College Collaboration program with Ashland University in Ohio, Centre College in Kentucky, and Clark University in Massachusetts.
The cast will feature Stable Cable ensemble members Lisa Jill Anderson, Lillith Fallon, Breanna Foister, Cory Kosel, Ian Poake, John Racioppo, Samantha Strelitz (The Qualifications of Douglas Evans at Walkerspace; HBO’s “Vinyl”) and Kara Young (Pretty Hunger at The Public).
The production team will include Lighting Design by Katy Atwell, Costume Design by Irma Brainard, Sound Design by Andy Evan Cohen, Scenic Design by Doss Freel, and Props Design by Andrew Hennelly with Producer Margaret Santa Maria and Production Stage Manager Allison Queen.
