Dixon Place’s (Ellie Covan, Founding & Artistic Director) commission, Victor Morales’ QUANTUM JOY, will have its world premiere on Friday, December 4th at 7:30 PM. Critically acclaimed visual artist and performer Victor Morales is one of the most extraordinary performers experimenting with video gaming today, whose shows have been performed throughout the US & Europe. QUANTUM JOY will play six performances only – December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th at 7:30PM, at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street). QUANTUM JOY, combines theatre and visual art in an exploration of gaming environments, where glitches, errors, and bugs are transformed into dramatic and comedic real time renditions. Morales takes his audiences for a ultimate digital performance ride, where particle robots, computer vision and mapped dynamic projections are used to answer important and universal questions about purpose in art and life.
