Genre: Dance, Lesbian+Gay
written by Tennessee Williams, directed by G.J. Dowding

It is the summer of 1940. August, a fledgling playwright, is rewriting the play intended for his Broadway debut in a blown away beach shack in Provincetown, racked with nerves due to pressures toward concession from his vile, yet deliciously wacky producer Maurice Fiddler and his wife, Celeste. He is distracted by his infatuation for Kip, a handsome Canadian dancer and draft dodger, who is visiting with a wealthy and protective young girl named Clare, reputedly his sister.

What becomes of dreams and memories over time?

This fantastically re-imagined production, choreographed by Zoe Bennett, focuses on the memory and dreams: creating a downstage world full of self-motivated, half remembered text juxtaposed by a movement laden upstage, where characters and caricatures alike roam about, rehashing a 40 year old story, infinitely looping onward.

Wind up the Victrola and watch the story unfold...
