Doris witnesses her husband murder the banker who foreclosed on their farm. When he turns the gun on her, she grabs her daughter and hits the road hard, carving a path across the ravaged American heartland in an old Buick made of rust. But some things they can’t outrun, like the banker’s shotgun-blasted face, semi-intact, in the backseat. Hunted by their past, terrified of their future, mother and daughter learn more about each other – and themselves – than they ever wanted to know.  When you’re running for your life and fromyour life, how far is far enough?
