BROOMSTICK

Genre: Comedy
Written by John Biguenet; Directed by SuzAnne Barabas

New Jersey Repertory Company is proud to announce the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of “Broomstick”, running for a limited engagement from September 19 through October13, 2013 at 179 Broadway, Long Branch, New Jersey.

Set in a remote cabin deep in the woods, an old crone lives in her own unique world.  As she unveils her life, we journey with her down a shadowy path somewhere between our material world and the realm of fantasy. Wickedly funny and sometimes frightening, she takes us back to our childhood, when in our innocence, we first wrestled with good and evil. Written by  John Biguenet and Directed by SuzAnne Barabas, “Broomstick” is no “Hansel and Gretel” fairy tale; for justice is swift and whiners end up in casseroles.  Andrea Gallo stars in this one-woman production set in the mountains of Appalachia.
