You got what it takes to hang with the cool kids? What are you: a burn-out, band geek, goth kid, jock, bookworm, skater, emo kid, cheerleader, stoner dude, preppy wannabe, choir kid, drama nerd? What’s it gonna be? Make up your mind, kid – this school is a warzone and if you don’t find a posse to back you up, you’re gonna get caught in the crossfire.

IRTE, The Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble, presents an evening of long-form improv  based on the high school experiences of one of our audience members. And that audience member could be you!

It's time to hang with the cool kids, with the real rulers of this school. It’s time to hang with...THE CLIQUE.

About IRTE

The Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble is an ensemble of comedy actors and writers who develop, produce and perform a season of original themed improvisational shows and video sketches, following the basic model of traditional repertory theatre. IRTE returns this year after a highly successful premiere season of fully improvised and stylized shows. Last season, IRTE’s six-month tour included stand-out showings at The Peoples Improv Theater, Luca Lounge, The Creek and the Cave, and the Parkside Lounge.

IRTE has also been an official selection at festivals including the 2012 Portland Improv Festival, the 2013 New Orleans Comedy Arts Festival, the 2013 Unscripted New York Improvised Theatre and Film Festival and the 15th Anniversary Del Close Marathon.

Peppering each showcase were talented musical guests like Jessica Delfino, Alexis Thomason, Jason Soffer, Gift of Tongues, Mindy Raf, Ben Lerman, Amy Albert, Caroline Eckman, Summer and Eve, Squirm & Germ, Taylor Ferrera, Mr. Big Head, The Vigilante, and Evan Laurence.

Raves included:

"A clever cacophony of topical humor, retro references, and on-their-feet wit ... a merry chase" Bob Greene, Outerstage

"A great show that included enough specifics to satisfy my inner-geek and also stood on its own as a delightful long-form improvisation... smart, grounded comedy" Marcia Sofley, Improvisation News

"A lot of fun!"  Dennis Holden, Dennis Has aPodcas

"Quick-wit hi-jinks... humor for the thinking man – and woman,"  Amy M. Frateo, Outerstage‚Äč
