Technology has enabled democracy in a way that has never quite been possible before and as a result, it encourages populism. Would we ever elect a president in the same way we elect an American Idol? Would we ever choose policy based on what goes viral?
Pitting populism against elitism, TIA's #CORIOLANUS is a modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare’s epic play that recounts the tragedy of a man at the mercy of media, politics, and Twitter. This interactive performance is set in a twitter centric world with live feeds on every wall.
