In 1857, an immigrant enters the haunted Hotel Hemlock on St. Marks Place – but, when she returns, it’s disappeared… In 1901, a local man claims to be haunted by his late wife's spirit… April 10, 1937, at 56 St. Marks Place, a secretary is visited by a long forgotten lover – who died on the Titanic 25 years before… On the eve of January 9, 1914, a gangland shootout occurs at the Arlington dance hall on 8th Street – it’s only victim still haunts 94 St. Marks Place… In 1922, Howard Lovelorn inherits 22 St. Marks Place - along with a screaming skull.
Now in its 9th Season, RadioTheatre (Nominated for a 2010 Drama Desk Award, 13 NY Innovative Theater Awards; Winner of 2 NYIT Awards; Nom. 5 times Best Performance Group) will present THE RADIOTHEATRE HOUR every Sunday at 3pm…our own adaptations of classic tales of terror, adventure, science fiction and more, complete with a great cast of storytellers, an original orchestral score and a plethora of sound effects. FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade is a theater development group with a focus on new work that produces a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater every season. FRIGID’s Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. FRIGID New York grew out of the annual FRIGID Festival, the first and only festival of its kind in New York City to offer artists 100% of their box office proceeds, and Horse Trade Theater Group, a self-sustaining theater development and management group.
