Tom Lee, the main character, is a school boy ostracized for being different. Because he often plays the female character in plays and tends to have a sensitive side, the school culture labels him as a homosexual. Society's tendency to stereotype, hate and fear that which is different takes center-stage in this drama that explores sexuality, ethics, and the power of mob-mentality. We, as a theatre company, are dedicated to bringing to life this story, while asking the question "What does it mean to be a man?"
This show will be presented to those in the local community in addition to school groups. We are committed to creating a dialogue amongst teenagers to address how they can show the utmost compassion to their classmates and what hatred, ridicule, and mob mentality can do. In addition, a portion of the box office proceeds will be benefitting the Trevor Project: an organization for preventing teen suicide amongst LGBT youth.
