David Rimmer

David Rimmer, Pulitzer-Prize-finalist author of Album, originally wrote New York to raise funds for volunteer psychiatrists dedicated to helping the overwhelming number of patients psychologically affected by 9/11. In the play, fifteen people react to the events of that day and tell their stories to a psychiatrist. It's been performed at theaters, schools and colleges around the world to great acclaim. This September 8th through 11th, The Group Theatre Too will present an Equity Showcase production of New York at the Hudson Guild Theater on W. 26th Street in Manhattan. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the 9/11 organization September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. For more information visit

About the Company: The Group Theatre Too, LLC

The Group Theatre Too hopes to encourage diversity and the exploration of the human experience through theatre-dance-music performances and arts education programs that will require youths and adults to be active participants and advocates for others; aware of their surroundings and their ability to mediate and effect change. Through the celebration of artists and the art of entertainment, GTT hopes to communicate the fact that as many ways as we humans are different we share common bonds and can connect with everyone on some level bringing new understanding and compassion to our lives.
