Four New Yorkers, four hundred apartments, sublets, house-sitting, couch-surfing, finding a place to live in New York City is as difficult as finding someone to share your life with.  Jesse newly divorced as well as broken off with his girlfriend, Ruth, whom his brother Astor is enamored with, now seeing his student, Bess, who discovers that being the youngest doesn't make her the least adult.  Ruth, Bess, Jesse and Astor, who will end up with whom?  Which is harder to find, true love or a fabulous rent-controlled pre-war on the West Side?

Sam Albertsen is thrilled to be performing alongside this talented cast in this production of Hunting & Gathering.  Sam is an actor from La Crosse, WI earning a bachelor's degree in Theatre Performance from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.  Off-Off Broadway credits include I Dream of Red Wine (Producer's Club) Dulcy (Wings Theatre, Zephyer Rep) Stop Kiss (Gene Frankel Theatre) Pizza Man (Dorothy Streslin Theatre, MITF nominee for best actor in a play).  Sam does Stand-Up Comedy all over NYC and also is a founding member of Do You Like This In Your Face? improv and sketch who recently competed in the Sketchprov '09 competition at the PIT.   Thank you Kymm, for giving me play time these past few months!

Jennifer Elliott is thrilled to be involved with this production. This is her first performance at Wings and wants to send a special thank you to Kymm and especially Blake for making this production possible! Originally from Asheville, NC Jennifer has a Bachelors degree in Communications and Theater from Western Carolina University, she also completed the actor training program at The William Esper Studio here in the city.  Favorite performances include: Dianne in Sinners, Laura in The Glass Menagerie, and Cinna/ Pindarus in Julius Caesar.

John MacDonald is delighted to appear on stage at Wings Theater. He has recently performed in Off-Off-Broadway productions of The Trojan Women and Measure for Measure (Foolish Mortals), one-act plays Spiked and Attraction Is Chemical (Brief Acts), and Frau Dracula (Love Creek, directed by Le Wilhelm). A native New Yorker, John has trained at BADA in London & at Robert Taylor Tayman's IAT, having graduated with an MA from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Elizabeth Micek hails from Omaha Nebraska, known for its legendary corn.  She received her training at the William Esper Studio graduating in 2007. She has collaborated closely with the artist Liz Magic Laser, performing in Chase an adaptation of Bertolt Brecht's Man Equals Man and starred in I Have You, which was staged in a giant plastic bubble.  She recently made her feature film debut in "Freeloader" directed by Zachary Raines.  Elizabeth is delighted to be a part of this production of Hunting and Gathering at the Wings Theatre!

Kymm Zuckert Director

A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, Circle-in-the-Square Theatre School and New York University, Kymm has been working in the theatre for forty years. The daughter of well-known actors Bill Zuckert and Gladys Holland, she started performing at the age of three in such plays as The Little Clown That Forgot How to Laugh and a French-language version of Sleeping Beauty as well as appearing in television shows like "Sanford and Son", "Baa Baa Black Sheep", and "Days of Our Lives". As an adult, Kymm has been a performer and director with theatre companies such as Love Creek Productions, Foolish Mortals, Phare Play Productions and Zephyer Rep, performing as Josie in Moon for the Misbegotten, April in The Hot L Baltimore, Bottom in an all-female version of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Leona in Small Craft Warnings and Marie-Ange in the world premiere of Maiden's Progeny at 59E59 Theaters.  She has been a director for the past seventeen years, of such shows as The Trojan Women, Dear Brutus, Man and Superman, Dulcy, The Cemetery Plays, The Unfortunate Honeymoon of Tony and Steve, A Woman of No Importance, Orpheus Descending, Ghosts, Arcadia, A Doll's House, Cloud Nine, Closer, Gay Slave Handbook and Shirley Valentine.
