Nora Powers, the secretary of the Birth Control League, sweeps that change straight into the Midwestern home of Seymore Standish, the man she loves.  Here she faces off with her biggest obstacle: his wife.  But when things don't turn out as planned, who will continue the fight for change and who will fight to stop it?

Lindsey Zelli Diantha "Dotty" Standish

Lindsey Zelli hails from Jeffersonville, Indiana and is thrilled to be making her New York stage debut with this wonderful cast and crew.  A recent graduate of Ball State University with a bachelors degree in both Theatre and Marketing she is currently pursuing a dual career as an actor and make-up artist.  Highlights so far include playing Miranda in Alchemy of Desire..., Alice in Closer and co-hosting the first-ever live New Year's Eve webcast from Times Square.  She would like to extend many thanks to all of her friends and family for their continuous love and support.

Aaron Gaines Seymore Standish

 Aaron Gaines is making his Zephyer Rep debut.  He recently played Lucentio in Taming of the Shrew with the Utah Shakespearean Festival educational tour, which travelled across four states performing for over 20,000 students.  Past New York credits include Ellery in It Pays to Advertise at the Metropolitan Playhouse and Superman in A Grave for Sister Agatha at the American Theatre of Actors.  He can be seen in the film Wasted produced by Midtown Entertainment and the Weinstein Company.  Aaron is a graduate of Cal State University, Fullerton and husband to the wonderful Mara.    

Seth Blum Leon Whittaker

Seth Blum recently decided to reengage and reignite his passion for acting earlier this year. He is elated to have his NYC stage debut in Chains of Dew. In the past, Seth has taken on such roles as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Seymore Krelbourn in Little Shop of Horrors and The Creature in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. He currently studies acting with Stuart Burney at The Black Nexxus Studio in Manhattan, under the artistic direction of Susan Batson. Seth dedicates his debut performance to the memory of his late grandfathers, David Blum and Palm Schneider.
 

Quentin McCuiston James O'Brien

 Quentin McCuiston, a transplant from a mountain top in Tennessee, is excited to have the opportunity to play with Zephyer Rep. Some of his past stage work includes Fully Committed, The Next to the Last Hamlet on the Left, Romeo and Juliet, and Twelfth Night.  Quentin is a graduate of Bryan College as well as NYCDA.  He is a lover, not a fighter. Linda Blackstock Mrs. Standish

Linda was last seen this spring at the Metropolitan Playhouse as Marta in The Return of Peter Grimm. Other recent roles include Myra in Deathtrap at Millbrook Playhouse, and Nellie, in Nowadays, also at the Metropolitan Playhouse.  She retired from the NYCDOE, as an early childhood educator, in June, 2010, to pursue her original passion as an actress full time.  Thanks to all who understand...  Love, Linda  

Courtney Moors Mrs. MacIntyre

Courtney Moors is a Canadian born actress excited to be making her NYC debut in Chains of Dew. After graduating with a BFA in acting from the University of Central Florida she spent a year as an acting apprentice at the Actors Theatre of Louisville.  At Actors: DraculaHeist (World premiere at the Humana Festival of New American Plays), Some Very Special Guests (solo showand the Apprentice Ten Minute Play Festival. At UCF Conservatory Theatre: The Lark, Noises Off, The Marriage of Figaro, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, Manuscript, Therac 25, Largo Desolato, and Kissing Christine.  

Betsy Holt Edith

Betsey Holt: Betsy just returned to the city after playing Audrey in Leading Ladies at the Oldcastle Theatre in Vermont. She is thrilled to work with Gretchen again, and to join this fine cast, and to be in a play by Susan Glaspell. She is a graduate of Ball State University in Acting and Musical Theatre. Her New York theatre credits include: Six Cylinder Love (Marilyn), Lysistrata (Rhodippe), and Laugh Riot (Heather). Love to my family and all those here in the city who have helped make NYC home.

Gretchen Ferris Director

Gretchen Ferris is an actor/director/casting director working out of New York City.  NY directing credits include: Lysistrata (Phare Play Productions) and Wincing at the Light (Love Creek).  Acting credits include: No Sex Please, We're British; Call Waiting (Phare Play Productions), The Diary of Anne Frank (Triad Stage), Quilters (Great Plains Theatre), Morticians in Love (Theatre 232), Ruth (Blue Shift Theatre Ensemble). Next month, she will be seen onstage and as a co-producer for As I Am Fully Known with The 8 o'Clocks in the New York International Fringe Festival.  Her casting credits range from feature film to commercial to theatre, and she holds theatre degrees from Lenoir-Rhyne College, Florida State University and the University of North Carolina Greensboro.

Nicole Gehring Assistant Director

Nicole Gehring is proud to be a part of this production. She is a Directing Intern with Wings, her last project with the company was under Kymm Zuckert's direction of Dulcy. Nicole is also Production Intern at Horse Trade Theater, and was AD on Improbable Stage's production of BOX at IRT. She is a graduate of Point Park University where she appeared in Ethan Coen's Waiting Room, Carousel (dir. Jack Allison, chor. Mark Esposito), and A Year with Frog and Toad (dir. the late and loved Rodger Henderson). A native of Austin, TX, Miss Gehring is thrilled to be starting her life here in the Big Apple. Emily Rolston Stage Manager

Emily Rolston (Production Stage Manager) Emily is a recent graduate of Le Moyne College with a BA in Theatre Arts.  She has stage managed twelve shows with Zephyer Rep.  Previously, Emily has worked as a stage manager/assistant stage manager for the Gifford Family Theatre, Boomerang Theatre Company, and Wingspan Arts.
