WHEN WE GO UPON THE SEA

Genre: Comedy
Written by Lee Blessing | Directed by Paul Meshejian

Set in a posh hotel room in The Hague, Lee Blessing’s new play imagines former president George W. Bush on the eve of his trial for international war crimes. Tended to by an inscrutable Dutch butler and an alluring masseuse, the former President embarks on a night of drinking, joking and rumination.

When We Go Upon The Sea explores how we regard our leaders and exposes one of the world’s most intriguing conflicts: the battle between the elected leader of the free world and a democracy of millions.

Performed by Conan McCarty, Peter Schmitz and Kim Carson.
