ForePlay is Flux Theatre Ensemble’s exploratory play reading series, in which contemporary playwrights are asked to riff on the themes connected to the mainstage production. This ForePlay will feature 16 playwrights re-imagining 8 stories from the Old Testament, inspired by Flux’s upcoming production of August Schulenburg’s JACOB’S HOUSE, a modern retelling of the Jacob wrestling the angel story. Join playwrights Johnna Adams, Jeremy Basescu, Erin Browne, Bekah Brunstetter, Leila Buck, James Comtois, Christine Evans, Fengar Gael, Michael John Garcés, Bill George, David Ian Lee, Kristen Palmer, Brian Pracht, Mac Rogers, and Crystal Skillman as they further explore themes of faith, family, legacy, and power.
