Julie Fotheringham & Jarryd Lowder are known for their guerrilla public performances in Grand Central Station, Times Square, and MoMa. They are described as “always risky, self-conscious and confrontational” (Benjamin Sutton: The L Magazine, Sept. 2, 2009). Urban Wash Dance Company presents Entangled Embrace intertwining dance and live virtual painting. Tyler Stone & Mixtress light it up with a taste from their upcoming album Hit Mode presenting music, vocals, video, and dance. (+1-1) takes the audience to the next chapter of Mordred’s Apology. Blue Muse Dance & Wetcircuit premier Lost & Found…Karma inspired Japanese film Ikiru – To Live. Blind premiers a new solo furthering experimental intermedia play.

The mission of Forward Motion Theater is to explore the combination of movement and technology through live performance and digital media. Current projects include both live theater and new performance venues through video and the web. Forward Motion Theater was incorporated as a non-profit arts organization in 2001 and has achieved 501(c)3 status. Forward Motion Theater is dedicated to exploring forms of communication that resonate regardless of social or cultural heritage, and believes this approach will open the door to a future full of diversity and understanding.

This Program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
