Midtown International Theatre Festival

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) seeks script submissions for its eleventh season from July 12 – August 1, 2010. The deadline for submissions is February 20, 2010.

The Festival accepts submissions in all genres – any sort of stage play, musical or otherwise, new or classic, mainstream or specifically focused on an ethnic or cultural niche. To be eligible, each show must have a producer and production team attached to the project.

“Our eleventh year will be a breakout year for us, especially with our expansion to Theatre Row. I’m humbled by the response, in quality and quantity, to our calls for productions in recent years, and the upward trend is accelerating,” said John Chatterton, executive producer of the MITF.

Application forms for the Midtown International Theatre Festival are available online at www.midtownfestival.org. Completed applications, scripts, production materials and a non-refundable reading fee of $30 must be mailed to: The Midtown International Theatre Festival, 347 W. 36th Street, 13th Floor, New York, New York 10018. All submissions must be postmarked by February 20, 2010 to guarantee consideration for the 2010 Festival. Pricing plans for shows, once accepted, vary widely. Details may be found at www.midtownfestival.org.
