TONGUE OF A BIRD

Genre: Drama, Other
by Ellen McLaughlin, directed by Lisa Rothe

Presented by NYU Tisch Graduate Acting Program and the Department of Design for Stage and Film. A 3rd Year Production.

Maxine is a rescue pilot - the best in the business, in fact - but finding stranded hikers is easy work compared to the unaccomplished task of finding herself. A missing girl and her frantic mother awaken in Maxine another journey through the sky: the skies of her memories, her childhood, and the mother who abandoned her. In the lyrical fantasia, only when she can touch down with her demons can Maxine ascend to her mission.
