by Lynn Nottage, Directed by Kenneth Washington
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions; in this political thriller, an African-American couple from New York lose their way while on vacation in Africa, and stumble into a hostage crisis in a desolate hotel, while the rain relentlessly shuts them—and their fellow hostages—off from the dubious salvation of civilization. This is the third play we’ve done by Lynn Nottage, who just won the Pulitzer Prize for Ruined.
