A violently funny and disturbing excavation of the dirty corners of our imaginations. A pair of radical feminist ex-strippers scour the country on a murderous rampage against right-wing pro-lifers, blogging about their exploits in gruesome detail. Meanwhile, a scruffy screenwriter named Owen tries to bang out his magnum opus in a hotel room as his best friend Rodney ("The Rod") pontificates on rape and other manly enterprises. When Owen decides to incorporate the strippers into his screenplay, the boundaries of reality begin to blur, and only a visit from Jane Fonda can help keep worlds from blowing apart.

The cast of That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape Play includes: Joseph Gomez (NY stage debut), Lisa Joyce (Red Light Winter, Blackbird, U.S. Drag), Greg Keller (Steve & Idi, The Seagull - BAM), Annie McNamara (God's Ear) and Danielle Slavick (NYC stage debut).

Greetings and thanks for visiting my Theatre Online page.... I'm Eric Rice. I'm an actor and a member of SAG, AEA and AFTRA. As you are reading this in the Fall '09 I am involved in development of a film project with Cry Havoc Films and just closed the rep production of Henry IV Parts I & II (dir. Elyzabeth Gorman) + Henry V (dir. Melisa Annis) for Rebellious Subjects Theatre and the Prospect Park Alliance (performed at the Prospect Park Music Pagoda).

I have a B.A., Applied Arts & Sciences, in Drama, Emphasis in Acting, from SDSU made possible through funding from the U.S. Army G.I. Bill. I transplanted from California to NYC in mid-2007 to further develop my artistic career and delve into the life of '50's pulp writer and Philadelphia native David Goodis. In San Francisco I was Managing Director of Unidentified Theatre Company and Executive Director of La Vache Enragée Productions-both 501(c)(3) organizations-and a member of Three Wise Monkeys Theatre Company.

Sincere thanks to you for visiting my page. You may also find more information on my website www.riceunderwater.com.
