Spotlighting our festival this Summer is BASIC TRAINING by Daniel Landon.
BASIC TRAINING is set in the freezing winter of 2003 at the Great Lakes Naval Station north of Chicago. Two seamen recruits, a street tough Jersey kid and a Puerto Rican kid from the Bronx, enter into an odd relationship during the rigors of basic training, often with hilarious results. Basic Training was inspired by stories and conversations with Daniel Landon’s son, who is serving in the US Navy. BASIC TRAINING will be performed June 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 at 7 p.m.
