Based on the play by Brendan Behan. Directed by: David Johnson, Produced by: Elaine Greeley
A play written by Brendan Behan about his experiences in Borstal.
After getting involved with the IRA at the age of 15 years, Brendan was sent to Liverpool to 'Blow up' Cammell Laird ship yard with a home made bomb. On arriving in Liverpool he was quickly arrested, but because he was too young to go to prison, he was sent to Borstal, where the regime was brutal, with both the guards and the inmates.
This play tells of his experiences before being deported back to Ireland.
