NEW YORK, NY December 28, 2007 - Theater Ten Ten announces its winter mainstage production for the 2007-08 season, Oscar Wilde's classic comedy "The Importance of Being Earnest." The show will run February 8th through March 9th, 2008. Press is invited beginning Saturday, February 9th.

A master of the studied insult, Oscar Wilde's jabs at hypocrisy, pretense and boring conventionality are as timely and funny today as when he wrote them. A classic comedy of manners, The Importance of Being Earnest is widely considered to be one of the finest plays ever written.

Theater Ten Ten's Producing Artistic Director Judith Jarosz will direct. Last season Jarosz garnered acclaim for her non traditional production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and won an OOBR Award for Outstanding Production 2004 for producing and directing Iolanthe...unplugged.

The creative staff also features, Hajera Dehqanzada (Lighting Design), Lydia Gladstone and Kristin Raphael (Costume Design), David Fuller (Set Design), Aaron Diehl (Asst. Director), Molly Goforth (Dialect Coach), and Lauren Arneson (Production Stage Manager).

The cast includes, David Fuller* as Lane/Merriman, Talaura Harms*as Miss Prism, Greg Horton* (The Singapore Mikado, Happy End) as Dr. Chasuble David Jacks* as Algernon Moncrieff, Sheila Joon* as Cecily Cardew, Vanessa Morosco* as Gwendolen Fairfax, Christopher Michael Todd* as John Worthing, and Cristiane Young (The Singapore Mikado, Happy End) as Lady Bracknell.

All Sundays are 3PM matinees only
There is one Thursday performance on March 6 with an early 7:00pm curtain.
