AGNES OF GOD

Genre: Drama
Written by John Pielmeier, Directed by Tal Aviezer

AGNES OF GOD follows a mysterious death of a new-born baby in a religious community and a court-appointed psychiatrist who has been assigned to test the competency of a young child-like nun to stand trial for the crime. Things are not necessarily what they seem as the skeptical doctor is forced to confront her own past while trying to save the young woman. Suspicion and faith come face to face in this psychological mystery which will leave everyone guessing until the very end. In 1982, AGNES OF GOD was a hit on Broadway, winning a Tony Award and critical praise. The author adapted his play for the screen in 1985 and the movie earned Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations.

Ruth Chiamulera Dr. Martha Livingstone
Ruth appeared in 2007's MUSIC FROM A SPARKLING PLANET as Tamara Tomorrow alongside AGNES OF GOD director, Tal Aviezer, and co-producer, Nick Leshi. She is very happy to return, once again, to Center Stage Playhouse after previous performances as The Hooker/Telephone Operator in WORKING, Rosemary in PICNIC, and Sally Bowles in CABARET. She has been performing in theater in NYC and Westchester for more than 20 years in such roles as Rosalind (MOON OVER BUFFALO), Tracy (THE PHILADELPHIA STORY), Gwendolyn (THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST), Olivia (TWELFTH NIGHT), Prudence (BEYOND THERAPY), Gwendolyn (THE ODD COUPLE), and Betty/Waitress (ALL IN THE TIMING). A singer as well as an actress, musical roles include Smitty (HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING), Miss Hannigan (ANNIE), Illona (SHE LOVES ME), Florinda (INTO THE WOODS), and Ado Annie (OKLAHOMA). Ruth was recently seen in Asbury Summer Theatre's final performance after 32 years, OUR TIME. She also appears as a vocalist with "Three for the Show," specializing in music of the Big Band Era. Ruth would like to thank the production staff for allowing her this wonderful opportunity and is excited to be sharing the stage with two such talented actresses.

Keri Seymour Sister Agnes
Keri is a Los Angeles native and a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC. Favorite past credits include Roma (GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS), Arkadina (THE SEAGULL), Elizabeth (LAUNDRY AND BOURBON), Maggie (THE SHADOW BOX), Belinda (NOISES OFF!), and the Baker's Wife (INTO THE WOODS). She has not been on LAW & ORDER, yet. Love & Thanks to Mom, Frank, Grandma Josie, Drew and of course Kim.

Pauline Walsh Mother Miriam Ruth
Pauline has been acting forever. Her last appearance at Center Stage Playhouse was in the production PICNIC. She enjoys a good script in the company of directors with vision and actors with heart. She seeks parts of "characters" that bring out the ideosyncrasies of life in the context of events that effect everyone. Center Stage satisfies it all.
