On the Verge is the story of three intrepid Victorian lady explorers venturing forth into Terra Incognita, only to find that Terra Incognita is pushing them through time as well as space. Encountering yetis, cannibals, jungles and ice fields, these three women discover that the future is now. Overmyer's hilarious wordplay and realm of pure imagination is sure to enchant and seduce the audience.

Overmyer's On the Verge features actors Julie Baber, Cliff Campbell, Nina Morrison, and Johanna Weller-Fahy. Nytheatre.com's reviewer Richard Hinojosa states that in WOW Café Theatre's Sonofabitch Stew "...it is Julie Baber, as the narrator, who steals the night. Her performance is flawless." Baber also performed in Austin Pendleton's The Children's Hour, and Pendleton states, "Julie is an amazing actress, as gifted and, more important, accomplished as anyone her age I've worked with. You've got to see her." Nytheatre.com reviewer Akia Squitieri states that Cliff Campbell "...has smart comedic timing and knows just when to pull back and when to push forward ...."

Designers and production team include director Portia Krieger, assistant director Joey Delbuono, stage manager Ashley Kosier, costume designer Denise Maroney, set designer Leslie Delavan, lighting designer Scott Needham, and sound designer Louis Igoe. Amanda Charlton from Williamstown Theatre Festival states that Portia Krieger is "...inventive, imaginative, and in constant search of that which best serves the story of the play." Ron Russell, the Director and Founding Producer of EPIC Theatre Center states that Krieger is "...a director whose potential is limited only by the quality of the community in which she works."
