SONNET REPERTORY THEATRE, now in its fifth season, continues a rigorous pursuit of classic theatre for the modern planet with an exploration of Shakespeare's beautiful and haunting masterpiece, THE TEMPEST. Prospero's island becomes a magical but dwindling landscape scarred by years of human mistreatment, while the magician himself is seen as a powerful figure capable of both great goodness and great destruction. This production, as a modernist allegory about personal and environmental stewardship, will feature projections, original music, and a stripped-down cast of seven actors portraying all fifteen roles.
