The Award winning VITAL CHILDREN'S THEATRE, is pleased to announce that its 2006-2007 Season will include 4 original musicals for children, performed by adults, "YOUNG KING ARTHUR," "MY NEW YORK," "PINKALICIOUS" and "THE GAME BOY," two touring shows, "THE BULLY" and "CINDERELLA'S MICE," and our VITAL VOICES Education Program. Public Performances run Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, September 23, 2006 through April 22, 2007.

YOUNG KING ARTHUR - A kid who gets to be a king! A really cool opportunity but a gigantic responsibility. Arthur learns the hard way that power comes from the heart and not the sword. Enter the world of King Arthur where "A Knight that is courteous and kind and gentle has favor in every place." Book by JON SHEAR and MARC CASTLE, music by SCOTT ZESCH. "YOUNG KING ARTHUR" runs September 23 through November 5. There will be an opening day workshop following the 1:00 pm show on Saturday, September 23.

MY NEW YORK - directed by Linda Ames Key
A competition to design a mural called "My New York" divides a group of friends. Each is determined to win, but at what cost? How will they decide whose neighborhood best represents the real New York?

With book by CARLA JABLONSKI, and music and lyrics by RICK HIP-FLORES. "MY NEW YORK" runs November 18 2006 through January 7 2007. There will be an opening day workshop following the 1:00 pm show on Saturday, November 18, and additional 1:00 pm performances followed by workshops during Winter Recess, Wednesday December 27 and Friday December 29

PINKALICIOUS - based on the children's book written by Elizabeth Kann with illustration by Victoria Kann. Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament. Book and lyrics by ELIZABETH KANN and VICTORIA KANN, music and lyrics by JOHN GREGOR, whose past vital shows include, CALLING ALL TOYS, THE CHANGELING, THE NASTIEST DRINK IN THE WORLD, MASK OF THE DANCING PRINCESS and THE BULLY. "PINKALICIOUS" runs January 13 through February 25, 2007. There will be an opening day workshop following the 1:00 pm show on Saturday January 13, and additional 1:00 pm shows followed by workshops on Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 16, and during Mid-Winter Recess - Wednesday, February 21 and Friday, February 23.

THE GAME BOY - Chase loves playing games and always being the best, but when he gets too wrapped up in his new, exciting action adventure computer game to spend time with his friends, he learns the hard way that computers are no replacement for people and winning isn't everything. Book and lyrics by ROBIN ROTHSTEIN, music and lyrics by MATT GANDOLFO. "THE GAME BOY" runs March 10 through April 22. There will be an opening day workshop following the 1:00 pm show on Saturday March 10, and additional 1:00 pm shows followed by workshops during Spring Recess on Monday, April 2, Wednesday, April 4 and Friday, April 6.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is a community of artists who believe that a shared theatrical experience profoundly affects people's lives.
