THE ORPHAN SINGER tells the story of Caterina, an orphan with exceptional vocal talent and dreams of studying music with Maestro Antonio Vivaldi. After struggle and hardwork Caterina finally earns a solo in Vivaldi's newest oratorio. Will she overcome the jealousy of Vivaldi's favorite diva? Who are the devoted street singers who visit the young girl and encourage her music education? Be transported to beautiful Baroque Era Venice with Making Books Sing's THE ORPHAN SINGER.

Directions - By Car: From the Deegan Expressway, exit at Van Cortlandt Park South. Follow signs. From the Henry Hudson Parkway, exit at Moshulu Parkway. Follow signs.

By Subway: Take the 4 or the D to Bedford Park Station. Lehman College campus is a 3 to 5 minute, well-lit walk to the west.
