A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY

Genre: Comedy
by Ivan Turgenev, directed by David Scott

One of the most important plays of the nineteenth century, A Month in the Country blends the romantic and psychological melodrama of Turgenev's novels with the development of dark comedy, predating later examples of this synergy byno less than Anton Chekov and even television's Desperate Housewives. Originally censored for its political and sexual undercurrents, Theater Ten Ten brings A Month in the Country to contemporary audiences.
