"BUSH IS BAD" provides a cathartic and entertaining release for everyone frustrated with the Bush administration's hijinx and plagued by the feeling that sane voices are falling on deaf ears. A cross between "Forbidden Broadway" and "The Daily Show" the musical offers catchy tunes, wickedly funny lyrics and hilarious impersonations. The evening doesn't so much preach to the choir as give it a song to sing.
"BUSH IS BAD" is a left-eyed look at the current sorry state of affairs in American government. It's the truth told bluntly but not savagely, with wit and without malice. The political theatrical experience includes such songs as ‘How Can 59 Million People Be So Dumb?;' ‘Good Conservative Values;' ‘New Hope For The Fabulously Wealthy' to name a few. It has been suggested that - if you can find an open-minded Republican, bring 'em - they might learn a few things about how the rest of America sees them.
