MASS TRANSIT STREET THEATER AND VIDEO, a Bronx-based performing arts group will celebrate 35 years of producing progressive, socially-conscious works for nationwide audiences with HOME FREE, a revival of the companyss landmark production about home and homelessness. The performances of HOME FREE will be a part of a special weekend that will include an exhibit of photographs, posters and artifacts from the MTSTV archives.

In HOME FREE, late one night, a traveler arrives at Grand Central Station on his way back to a metaphorical home. His train leaves without him and he shares the night with a band of homeless people who are plotting against their impending eviction from Grand Central by the city. The traveler who had set out on one kind of trip embarks on a whole different journey.
