Rosalind s driven from her cruel uncle's court to take refuge in the forest of Arden, disguising herself as a boy to protect herself and her cousin Celia. Before leaving court, Rosalind has fallen in love with Orlando. But dressed as a boy, she must conceal her true feelings in her next encounter with Orlando, who has also escaped into the forest to avoid his brother Oliver's murderous intentions. In the magical forest of Arden, lovers are united, enemies reconciled and the true values of civilization are restored.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is a community of artists who believe that a shared theatrical experience profoundly affects people's lives. The company creates stories that challenge its audience to ask questions, make discoveries and engage in dialogue. Programming includes Vital Main Stage, which produces work for adults on the main stage, and Vital Signs New Works Festival, a series of one-act plays. Vital Children's Theatre commissions, develops and produces new musicals performed by adults for families. To date the company has seen 28 plays and musicals go on to publication.
