D.I.Y. Theatre and Kneeling Bus Theatre present the New York debut of Sean Reycraft's sensational Canadian play. This production, directed by Diana Belshaw and starring Justin Conley and Siobhan Power, was the hit of last year's Dublin Fringe Festival, garnering a five-star review from Irish Theatre Magazine and a Best Actress nomination for Ms. Power. One Good Marriage finds Steph and Stewart celebrating their first anniversary. She's an English teacher; he's a high school librarian. As they revisit their first year of marriage, they cannot escape the terrible sorrow that looms over them. They returned from their delightful honeymoon to find the unthinkable had happened.
One Good Marriage is equal parts dark comedy and moving drama. As Steph and Stewart slowly reveal the tragedy, the story deftly moves from heartbreak to humor and back again. One Good Marriage offers a vivid look at two ordinary people to whom the extraordinary has occurred.
