The Theatre Fellowship of The Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church announces its Equity-approved showcase production of Joseph Kesselring's Arsenic and Old Lace, a dark comedy written in 1939. In three acts, the play turns murder into a fantastic comedy revolving around Mortimer, a theater-hating drama critic who must deal with his crazy family and local police as he debates whether to go through with marrying the woman he loves. When it opened on Broadway in 1941, it received rave reviews.
