The Boomerang Theatre Company is an award-winning Off-Off-Broadway theatre company based in New York City. Production History

All for Love  | Open: 09/09/05 Close: 09/30/05
One of the most famous love stories of all time, the work follows the final days of Antony and Cleopatra. A timeless tale of how unmitigated passion and obsessive love can destroy those afflicted by it and it also doesn't help to dump your wife for a new mistress when your spouse is the sister of the leader of the Roman Empire. This is the first professional revival of ALL FOR LOVE in recent memory. (performed in rep with Artist Descending A Starcase and Giant-N-Variation)

Artist Descending a Staircase  | Open: 09/10/05 Close: 10/02/05
Art, history, and a beautiful blind woman. When Donner is found dead at the bottom of the stairs, Martello and Beauchamp each think the other has killed him. In perspectives weaving through time, life and love, each investigates memory and motive while unraveling the relationship they all shared. This is the first professional revival of the Stoppard work since its 1989 Broadway premiere. (performed in repertory with Giant-N-Variation and All for Love)

When Anna falls in love with strapping stoker Mat Burke, Anna's destiny hurtles toward her as Chris desperately to change her fate. Opens September 9, 2006.

The Ugly Man
by Brad Fraser, directed by Christopher Thomasson
Beautiful and spoiled heiress Veronica languishes on a ranch run by her overbearing mother, Sabina. When a hideously scarred drifter arrives looking for work both mother and daughter attempt to use him to their own selfish ends, resulting in tragedy for everyone. Opens September 16, 2006.

In a future U.S. characterized by Security Zones, personal bar code tattoos, and armed commuters, Gayle finds life either boring or terrifying. Her mood is improved by a sudden romance with Hank, a secretive government agent on a mission to find very happy women. When Hank meets Gayle's sister, the perennially happy Pearl, he spirits both women off to Washington, D.C. where they become entangled in a sinister government plot to bottle happiness. Opening September 19, 2006.

It's 1986 and conservatism is sweeping the nation. On a small hippie commune, Fenway and his fellow refugees from the sixties are doing their best to ignore the outside world. When their revered, exiled leader re-emerges as a "born-again conservative" with a young Republican trophy wife in tow, chaos ensues. Can the ideals of the Aquarian Age stand up to the glitter of Reaganomics? This world premiere by the award-winning playwright Kelly McAllister (Burning the Old Man, Last Call) & Lisa Margaret Holub is a modern spin on Chekhov's Uncle Vanya that wrestles with the eternal struggle of green versus greed.

To discover the truth, a linguist and a drifter must battle the unconditional love of the rancher Edward and his daughter May who fight to protect the sanctity of their land. But the question remains...do Giant and Variation have the power of speech? Playing in repertory with All for Love and Artist Descending A Staircase. All three shows are Equity showcases.

A king and his friends swear an oath to renounce women for three years while studying together. But scholarship and brotherhood take an interesting turn with the arrival of four lovely ladies. The boys go in disguise to woo, but the gals have the upper hand. Don’t they always?

Loveless Texas  | Open: 09/07/17 Close: 09/24/17
Loveless Texas tells the story of two brothers in 1930s Texas… the elder is King Navarre, responsible oil man and cattle rancher, and the younger is Berowne Navarre, playboy and rascal. With the onset of the Great Depression, King enlists Berowne and his college buddies Duke and Bubba to a contract of three years employment...with the condition of no romance, no drinking, no carousing, no gambling. When four intelligent and beautiful women arrive and demand an audience, all contracts are open for re-negotiation.

Loveless Texas is a traditional book musical, with a score in a variety of traditional Americana styles, encompassing Texas swing, bluegrass, blues, Cajun waltz and two-step, and cowboy yodels. It is a fun, joyous, affirmative celebration of the power of love.

The production features set design by Evan Hill, costume design by Cheryl McCarron, lighting design by Michael O’Connor, sound design by Ian Wehrle. Character movement by Dan Renkin, and Theresa McElwee is the vocal coach.

Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artist Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director) will revive their hit park production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing for encore performance indoors, March 1-18 as part of BFG Collective’s six month long residency at The Secret Theatre (44 02 23rd Street, Long Island City). The production will be directed by Daniel Talbott (Eightythree Down with Horse Trade Theater Group; Slipping with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater) and will feature Spencer Aste*, Edward Carnevale, James Patrick Davis*, Jon Dykstra*, John Egan, Alex Engquist, James Leighton, Sevrin Anne Mason*, Ralph Petrarca*, Maria Peyramaure*, Erik Sherr*, Jelena Stupljanin*, Sara Thigpen*, David L. Townsend*, Sanford Wilson, and Scott Witebsky*. The creative team will include Choreography by Becky Byers, Set Design by Nikki Black, Costume Design by Carolyn Pallister, Fight Choreography by Laura Ramadei, and Lighting Design by Kia Rogers. Beatrice loves and hates Benedick at the same time, returning his amour with each stinging put down and quip. Benedick loves the game when he is winning, and despises Beatrice when he is not. Hearts are won, lost and won again all for the glory of who can get the last word in!

The production will be directed by Jeff Woodbridge and will feature Susan Atwood*, Jason Liebman*, Michael Mraz, and Patricia Santomasso*. Jane, newly pregnant, escapes onto a beach through a closet door and finds a strangely familiar world under attack. As she, a greaser, and a Spanish nun battle monsters and brandish swords and stones, the line between real and imaginary blurs, and to save them all, Jane will have to make the decision of her life.

TWELFTH NIGHT  | Open: 06/16/18 Close: 07/15/18
It begins at night, with a shipwreck. All are lost, save one...a valiant woman washed ashore in a strange country. In an instant, Viola becomes the person she needs to be...in disguise. She serves the Duke, and discovers a passion in her heart as strange as the country she now inhabits. But Duke Orsino loves another. And so Viola becomes the Duke's messenger, delivering his love to Olivia. Can she do it? Should she? And what becomes of all of them when Viola sheds her disguise and reveals her true self? To settle all, Viola may have to outdrink Sir Toby and Sir Andrew, outwit Feste, and outmaneuver Malvolio if she has any hope of setting true love right!

Shakespeare's comedic tale about the power and effects of love, as evidenced when two lifelong friends fall for the same woman, and the problems that result. Presented Free and Out-Of Doors in various parks around town, the show is reset to the 1920s.
