A re-imagining of August Strindberg's timeless drama "Miss Julie".
Julie, the daughter of a wealthy Count, is a beautiful and aggressive young woman who yearns to break free from the societal mores that seem to repress her every impulse. And so she does--by seducing Jean, her father's valet. But what begins as a simple flirtation soon turns into a dangerous game of power and betrayal as the ambitious Jean starts to see Julie as a way out of the travails of his own class. Freely adapted from Strindberg's controversial 19th century play that was banned throughout Europe for its frank portrayal of sex, "JULIE" takes an electrifying look at the war between the sexes and class differences.
