Production History

The Gin Baby  | Open: 01/19/14 Close: 02/02/14
Mermaid Sand Productions and Kid Brooklyn Productions present the world premiere of THE GIN BABY.

No longer able to self-medicate with alcohol and in a desperate search for escape, a young woman finds herself standing on the edge of the 1 train subway platform.  She faces the train as it roars into the station, and then faces the consequences as she commits herself to a psych ward in one last attempt to commit to herself.

Skyko Amos (Mamma Mia tour), Charlotte Graham (Camelot, Trinity Rep), Maxwell Hamilton (Slipping, Rattlestick West, Los Angeles), Lesley Shires (Happy Birthday, TACT), Chris Stack (Killers & Other Family, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater), Jenny Seastone Stern (North Atlantic, Wooster Group), and Jelena Stupljanin (Film: Cirkus Columbia, director Denis Tanovic) will star in the searing drama.

The production team includes Evan Caccioppoli (producer/Kid Brooklyn Productions), Addie Johnson-Talbott (producer), John McDermott (scenic design), Tristan Raines (costume design), Kia Rogers (lighting design), Janie Bullard (sound design), Kaitlyn Pietras (video and projection design) and Jack Doulin, CSA (casting director).
