A Texas family's fight to stave off foreclosure during the Dust Bowl has shocking resonance with the national movement to save our communities from the threat of fracking. The Dust Bowl was the greatest ecological diaster of the 20th centure and two thirds of the inhabitants stayed on their farms. Birds on a Wire follows the untold journey of a Jewish family as they experience the local bank's lies, infidelity as brothers fight for the same woman, and finally their acceptance of each other. The Rositzky family worked hard, followed all the rules and because of their misguided treament of the land, helped creat the Dust Bowl. This promenade production takes place in an environmental setting bringing the Rositzky family farm to life.
