Jump for Joy Productions, led by founder and artistic director Samantha Payne Garland, seeks to engage audiences with compelling theater. Collaborating with a rotating cast of associate producers and artists, Jump for Joy stages classic and contemporary plays, with a focus on professional productions that don't break the bank. And because Jump for Joy believes that all great theater deserves a great audience, the team works hard to promote their projects and engage with audiences who don't normally attend live theater. They want to invite everyone to feel connected to this most elemental form of story-telling.

The Drunken City  | Open: 11/30/12 Close: 12/16/12

Off on the bar crawl to end all crawls, three twenty-something brides-to-be find their lives going topsy-turvy when one of them begins to question her future after a chance encounter with a recently jilted handsome stranger. A wildly theatrical take on the mystique of marriage and the ever-shifting nature of love and identity in a city that never sleeps.

JUMP FOR JOY PRODUCTIONS will be giving 10% of ticket sales to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC, with all funds helping Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. There are plans to perform sections of the play in Sandy shelters and a block of tickets to be given to shelter residents / National Guard members in New York for Sandy.
