Imagination has no barriers.
VOICES INSIDE/OUT is a benefit reading of six short plays written by inmates at Northpoint Training Center, a medium security prison in Kentucky. The plays were created in the three-year-old Voices Inside theater arts program at the prison.
All net proceeds support the summer playwriting program at Northpoint, and seed the second annual residency for a professional playwright to teach master classes to the prisoner-playwrights there in July 2012. We will announce the 2012 Playwright-in-Residence at the reading!
The short plays include comedies and dramas set inside and outside of prison:
