Whenever Bob and his younger brother Jimmy travel from New York to visit their feisty, eccentric mother Dorothy it feels like they never left home. Now in her late sixties, Dorothy presents the consummate challenge to her middle-aged sons. But while Jimmy is more interested in smoking pot and watching re-runs of Planet of the Apes, Bob is the one left to do the brunt of his mother’s chores - paying bills she’s hidden underneath the living room rug, and taking her shopping to K-Mart, where she insists on taking her clothes off right in the middle of the sales floor. It's grief rather than gratitude that Bob gets for all his trouble. Can the two brothers persuade Dorothy to get the help she needs before all three of them lose their minds?
